Summer Camp Classes
Daytime Summer Classes for kids and teens!
We hope to again offer spring and summer camp sessions in 2021! Our Kids Classes are our heart and soul, we thank all of our past youth crafters and artisans and will be updating when these classes and camps are available again.

Shiloh Pottery has a large, well-equipped studio located on a farm in Carroll County. Ken Hankins of Shiloh Pottery has been teaching and working with clay for over 45 years of experience. Ken holds a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a Masters Degree in Ceramic Art Education from Alfred University.

Your child will be doing many exciting clay projects such as: flower pots, log cabin bird houses, creature sculptures, dishes, trivets, masks, piggy banks, slab pots, cups, bowls, and wind chimes.

During the Kids' Clay Class, each child will get to "throw" on the potter's wheel at least once each class with assistance. We are now offering a class for teens in the spring. Older children with more experience may choose to attend the Wheel Class. Children receive instruction on types of glazes and glaze their own pottery.

Classes are offered Saturday mornings during the spring and during two weeks in July. (dates sometimes are subject to change) Cost is $160 per child for four classes (spring), $190 for five classes (summer). Price includes instruction, clay, glazing and firing.
